Welcome! We are looking forward to reviewing your application to be a Decision Education Fellow. We are looking for middle and high school teachers interested in building their students’ decision-making skills, which will help them in class and throughout their lives.
Our first Fellows found the program rewarding, saying it “transformed” their classes, increased student engagement, and built a foundation for improved decision-making, which they know their students need.
Applications will be accepted starting Monday, August 9 through Friday, September 3, 2021
The Decision Education Fellowship is open to middle and high school teachers of ELA, Social Studies, Math, and Science.
Teachers may be either full or part-time. School Counselors also will be considered. Our aim is to build a diverse Fellowship to enable rich learning for all included, thus we are seeking teachers from all school types (public, private, and charter), geographies, demographics, and representing racial and ethnic diversity.
Applicants must be able to attend meetings every Wednesday from 4PM - 5:30PM EST, October 6 - December 15, 2021. There will be no meetings during the week of Thanksgiving.
Applicants must also be able to complete one hour of asynchronous work each week.
Fellows will be introduced to 7 Key Areas of Decision Education and will then use this knowledge to create a curricular unit to implement in their classrooms.
All Fellows receive a $3,000 stipend for participation in the program.
Applicants will be notified about the status of their application by Monday, September 13, 2021.
