Ariella Suchow

Learning Experience Designer

Ariella Suchow, Ph.D., is the Learning Experience Designer at the Alliance for Decision Education. She received a Ph.D. in Curriculum & Instruction from the Boston College Lynch School of Education and Human Development, where her research focused on best practices for designing and implementing creative, interdisciplinary learning environments. While at Boston College, Ariella was the Project Manager, Curriculum Designer, and Lead Graduate Student Researcher for the Converge Theatre Project, which aims to use the arts and social justice as tools for getting middle and high school learners excited about science. Earlier, Ariella taught drama and dance in K-12 public and private schools in the Greater Boston Area over the course of six years, where her interdisciplinary curriculum focused on using the arts as tools for building community and bolstering learners’ self-confidence, along with their understanding of concepts of history and social justice. She worked in education, sociology, and developmental psychology labs while teaching, which helped to ignite her passion for real-world applications of research with palpable impacts on learners, families, and other stakeholders. She obtained a Master’s degree in Theatre Education from Emerson College and a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre from Brandeis University.

Outside of work, Ariella loves to run, do yoga, travel, and explore hole-in-the-wall eateries. She lives in New York City with her husband, Jordan, daughter, Maia, and very large cat, Marvin.
