Katharine Hudson

Educational Content Developer

Katharine Hudson is the Educational Content Developer at the Alliance for Decision Education. She joined in July of 2021 and is focused on the development of Decision Education content for students, educators, and schools. Katharine earned her M.S. in Physics from Drexel University, it was while teaching as a graduate student that she discovered her passion for education.

Prior to joining the Alliance for Decision Education, Katharine spent ten years at The Haverford School where she worked as a Math Specialist, Software Programming teacher, and DEI coordinator. She also has post-secondary teaching experience as an Adjunct Physics Professor for Rowan University. Some of her expertise and contributions have included supporting student learning as they discover their path toward mastery, encouraging and elevating student-driven DEI initiatives, and developing a software programming curriculum. Katharine values the importance of student choice and inquiry as powerful tools in the learning process and worked to expand school curriculum and create workshops where students can gain practice implementing these skills. She is excited to bring her expertise in leveraging student voice to The Alliance.

Outside of work, Katharine enjoys working in her garden, learning and failing in her small woodshop, and listening to radio shows while fixing up the home she shares with her partner and two cats in Philadelphia.
