Human Resources Manager
Michael is the Human Resources Manager for the Alliance. He brings years of dedicated HR experience and a background in both Communications and Writing. Specific competencies include Employee Relations, HR Information Systems, Onboarding, Performance Assessment, Talent Acquisition, and Talent Development. His ability to strategically partner with leaders, empathize with employees, and oversee workplace policies and procedures are some of his strongest skills. He also takes pride in his ability to analyze data and metrics, multitask between projects, and prioritize matters at hand.
With a passion for diversity and inclusion inside and outside of the workplace, Michael also brings years of experience focusing on culture, engagement, and equality. He has collaborated with historically diverse educators, fundraised thousands of dollars for minority organizations, led corporate employee resource groups, trained employees on biases, discrimination, and equal employment, and volunteered for various workplace advocacy groups. He is an ally, champion, and mentor for employees first and foremost.
Michael was born and raised in South Philadelphia, where he still resides today. When he isn’t working, he enjoys spending time with family which includes his dog, Jake. He also enjoys taking vacations with friends, finding new music and artists to listen to, and playing sports within the city’s LGBTQ+ league where he also volunteers his time as a member of the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion committee.
